As our Finance & Compliance Officer, you'll ensure our financial health and regulatory compliance, creating the foundation of accountability that enables us to sustainably deliver our mission of transforming lives through quality NDIS support.

Role Purpose

As our Finance & Compliance Officer, you'll work within the CFO/Governance/Finance & Compliance Department, which protects the company's financial integrity, legal compliance, risk management, and audit readiness—ensuring the organization is stable, sustainable, and regulator-proof.

You'll be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and regulatory compliance of The Well Team, reporting to the CFO/Governance lead while working within the critical Performance Monitoring & Feedback stage of our WorkWell™ Model. Your role will ensure our NDIS billing and financial systems operate with integrity, our processes comply with NDIS and regulatory requirements, and our financial reporting provides accurate insights for strategic decision-making.

In line with your department's WorkWell™ contribution, you'll lock in compliance, risk management, and quality control at every step, ensure all care/service delivery is matched with the right documentation and legal foundation, and drive continuous improvement based on audit findings and compliance metrics. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of NDIS funding.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & NDIS Billing

  • Oversee NDIS billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, claim submissions, and payment reconciliations

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow and maintaining financial records

  • Process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining proper records

  • Support budget development and monitoring, working with department heads to ensure financial accountability

This role is essential to our WorkWell™ Model, particularly within:

  • Performance Monitoring & Feedback

    You'll process financial data and compliance audits weekly, creating the feedback loops needed for continuous improvement

  • Service Delivery & Participant Experience

    Your accurate processing of NDIS claims ensures participants can access their full entitlements without administrative barriers

  • Continuous Improvement

    Your financial analyses will identify opportunities to optimize operations while maintaining service quality

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency
